Beachy look : High waisted shorts and cropped top

Shoes : Ninewest , Guam

I went to Guam last week for a small vacation. It is a part of US and is located just a couple of hours away from Tokyo. It was a nice getaway spot and the beaches were simply awesome! Amid the lush greenery was located a white sand beach with calm and clear blue water. Ritidian Point is what it is called, was truly breathtaking.
Since beaches are always hot and humid , It is best to wear something comfortable and airy, yet beachy and bright. So cottony frocks, shorts, tees etc would be ideal .I wore a pair of high waisted denim shorts with a cropped top . Just a few days back, my eyes rolled on to this bright purple cropped top lying in forever 21. I wasn't sure if I could pull it off with low waisted trousers/jeans etc . So instead I teamed it up with these high waisted shorts which it seems to compliment nicely! I tied a knot on one of the sides to tighten it a bit but you can keep it loose if  you like.
